JAVA - BALI OVERLAND TOUR

hayhayahaayyyyy. today i want to tell you about my wonderful overland trip soo, in the middle of march, i went to bali-java with all my classmates and it was totally awesome. how cant?!

FIRST DAY

i woke up at 3 (i actually didnt sleep) and took a bath and went over to my school. and 2 bus were waiting us. after waiting for another-things-which-are-not-useful,we finally departed from our lovely hideous school (lol) to go to the God’s island, Bali. *yeay*
we arrived there on the next day and as you read, yes. we slept in the bus on our way to Bali. interesting isnt it? and as you know we went there by bus. yes, we crossed the sea to bali by a ferry. and it was terribly cool.

SECOND DAY

CROSSING TIMEEEEE!!! the ferry is waiting for us. (and the bus actually). we went into the ferry and we just came out from the bus and go to the deck to see the beautiful scenery and yes, it’s so beautifully gorgeous.

image

after we crossed the the strait, yeah. we finally arrived in BALI. it’s dark already and we continue our trip to the hotel and we finally arrived at the hotel at 8 p.m and had a dinner immediately. after that, we went in to find our room. my room is 305 which is the best room ever. i mean, it’s not really small, pretty cool and it’s not too far because it’s located in the middle  of the corridor. so i liked it so much.

THIRD DAY

we started our trip to GALUH. it is a souvenir shop and it has a traditional balinese house inside. we went there guided by balinese people and my guide was Bli Agus (Bli means Mr.). he told us about Balinese house in general and about Barong dance which is really awesome. after seeing such a good stuff in Galuh, we went to another section to watch Barong dance. and unluckily, there were another students and they will watch Barong dance too. well, it was actually great tht we met them, but i thought it was too crowd. having 3 different schools with us and we were like, “oh hello there” but they were like “hi, but i dont care” and yeah. i didn’t like that one. after watching a beautiful attraction, we continued our trip to go to…..i forgot. oh, we went to KINTAMANI HILLS for lunch! and it was soooo amazing.

http://galeriwisata.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/kintamani3.jpg
see? told you so. we had a spooky lunch here but it was great. after lunch, we were allowed to take some pics and then the rain ruined it all. and then we got into the bus and continued to Tirta Empul Temple. here, in tirta empul, you’ll find 13 little waterfall, it’s not a waterfall actually, it looked like…a stream. buit not like a stream, like a shower. lets just say it was looked like a shower. you’re not allowed to got into this temple if you’re on your period, or your one of your relaitive was dead for about 2 weeks ago, or if you had a 3months baby. i don’t know the exact reason, but as i heard, Bali, as you know is a God’s island so its place is full of spirit and Gods who will protect and stay in that place. and temples, as you know, are God’s house and we have to be clean to get into this kind of place.

http://aguseka191.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/wpid-tirta-empul1.jpg
so, that was the “shower” i said before. at least it looked like a shower.
you were allowed to washed your hair, face and drink the water. if you washed your face 3 times, washed your hair once and drink it 3 times, you’ll probably get the youth essence but not directly after you finished the rituals. i drank it 3 times and it was so fresh. and tasted really good.

after having such an awesome and fresh experience, we continued our trip to Sukowati public market and it was soooooo crowded. many sellers forced the visitors to buy some souvenirs from their shop. they forced too much (i thought so). so, if you want to go to Bali, you have to be careful. just like in Kintamani, there were some forcing sellers. they’ll come to you and offering their stuff and they’ll force you to buy it with kindness. they’ll give you some great offers. but once you were asked and offered, they’ll follow you. i mean, if you left they’ll keep forcing you, following wherever you go (but still in that place). so yeah, i explained it too much lol.

i bought 3 clothes as souvenirs and it was pretty cheap. lol. you can get a tee for only $2. such an amazing place to shop. haha.
aaaand then, we went over to another place to watch Kecak Dance. it was pretty cool. and i met a girl from california named Amy, and she’s absolutely beautiful.

see? so beautiful right?

aaaand FINALLY, we gotta see the precious sunset in KUTA BEACH.

image
image

unspeakably beautiful. i was satisfied with that. i missed it too much :(

and after seeing such a beautiful scene, we went to KRISNA, the most popular souvenir shop in Bali and we also had a dinner here. and then we headed back to our hotel. and this what i bought in Bali

image

i bought too many things for my family and friends and for myself of course. i also bought a milk pie it’s balinese traditional food and they were so damn delicious. i bought 5 or 6 pack because i loved it sooo much!!

image

it was our last night in Bali and everyone ran over the corridor because we had to do our task. the tasks is to find out the information about the tourist objects we have visited in Bali and per group had 6 people in it and yeah, we did it with too much laughs and jokes. why not? it was our last night in bali and we weren’t sleepy enough and we actually didn’t want this end quickly. we spent that night with such a delightful face and we wouldn’t be able to forget that night.

FIFTH DAY

this is our last day in Bali. everyone has their things packed up and they were too lazy i saw it on their face while they were having breakfast. not because we had a sleepless night. but because we wouldn’t leave Bali and we wanted more funs here. but what can we do then?

we started our last day with a visit to SANGEH. it was a little village with many monkeys. a legend said those monkeys were kingdom’s soldiers. and if one of the monkeys got up to you without you forcing it, it means you’ll get a luckiness.

but unfortunately, i didn’t go into the forest because i was on my period. (on-period girls are not allowed to get into the forest). so i stayed in the car park and walked around the park. but you can still see the monkeys.

after our visit to sangeh, we went to Bedugul Lake for lunch. we had a pretty amazing lunch view.

image

and after that, we continued our trip to Tanah Lot. and this place is SO DAMN AMAZING.

image

and Tanah Lot was the last place we visit in Bali and after that we headed to Java island and forced ourselves to say good bye to Bali. and just like the first day, yes. we slept on our way to Java island. and we crossed the strait at midnight and we were sooooo TIRED x_x

SIXTH DAY

WELCOME BACK TO JAVA!! we were in Blitar and we’ll visit the most insiprational person’s graveyard, Mr. SOEKARNO! Indonesia’s first president!

image

image

beautiful right?

at night, we finally arrived at Ros-in hotel, a four star hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. it was really calm and relax and we enjoyed our time there spent the night with resting from such a long tired trip.

SEVENTH DAY

it’s not over yet!! LOL we went to Prambanan Temples in the morning and yeah, as you know it was really adorable in the morning. and continued to the Yogya’s Keraton (such a palace, a javanese palace). and after that we  went shopping to Malioboro street and after shopping we headed back to the hotel for Table Manner program.

image the hotel.

after finished the program, well it was midnight already and someone’s head just got hit so he had to go to  hospital accompanied by some teachers which means we have a freedom here in the hotel. so played all night long and slept for 2-3 hours only.

EIGHTH DAY a.k.a THE LAST DAY

IT WAS OUR LAST DAY AND WE WOULDN’T GO BACK QUICKLY. we had breakfast in the hotel and after having breakfast, we went to Borobudur Temple and took some pictures.

image

and after lunch we continued our way back home and we finally arrived at school at midnight and then go back to each house with a tired face and sleepy head and yeah, as you know. a sad heart.
i really missed this trip. the moment i spent with my friends, the laughter and stories…..i just couldn’t forget this precious moment. XOXOimage
